This performance was a debut in essence.  It marked the first time taking my work outside the studio.  As it turned out, I brought most of my studio with me.  Concentrating mainly on the electronically driven pieces that I had been crafting up to this point, I wanted to use this performance to act as an interface between the old and new technologies.  This is something of a theme in all my subsequent work, marrying new computerized sequencing technology with older forms of synthesis. With the use of Ableton Live and Max for Live, a set of devices were implemented to be able to have full control over every note, tone and beat with the flexibility of being able to improvise each piece.

Having the opportunity to perform in such a space, meant trying to utilise it as much as possible - and so, the performance marked the collaboration with visual designers, Anthony Murphy and Conor Jacob from The Shadow Lab.  Through the use of projection mapping and syncronised lighting techniques, we achieved an audio visual performance that really animated the room that we were very honoured to perform in.  Hopefully we animated some hearts and minds on the night too.
